Oklahoma Baptist University Curriculum


Yellowstone Baptist College offers the following accredited Oklahoma Baptist University degrees:

Bachelor of Arts - Christian Studies
Associate of Arts - Christian Studies
Diploma - Christian Studies

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Fulfillment of all general and specific academic requirements and formal approval by the Faculty and Board of Directors are the essential conditions for receiving any of the degrees listed above. All the general education courses required in the A.A. degree are offered through YBC. Contact YBC for restrictions on transfer credit.

CE 101, Introduction to Discipleship I, and CE 102, Introduction to Discipleship II, are required for all students attending YBC. OBU students may use these courses as Applied Ministry or General Electives.

A total of 64 semester hours is required for the Associate of Arts.


MINIMUM RESIDENCE REQUIREMENTS
A student is required to complete at least 33 semester hours out of the last 64 hours in residence (on campus) for the degree. A minimum of 50% of hours toward a major must be completed in residence at YBC. YBC “On the Road” classes count toward the on campus hours.


FILING A DEGREE PLAN
During the fall semester of his/her junior year, each student must complete a degree check sheet which certifies the courses which the student has completed and the courses s/he must complete to fulfill all degree requirements.
